Five Card Trick

"There are occasions in this game where something arrives through the post and you start to wonder why nobody has looked at that angle before.

I've seen several card systems that have been designed to assist walkers or provide information about trips. I even devised my own for use by groups I've trained up for DOE Award expeditions, but I'll admit that I've not seen one as potentially useful as the HILLSAFE SYSTEM.

The combination of reusable Route card, weather & hazard forecast, incident report, incident Management card and 'Staybehind' information sheet could be a winner with DOE, Scout, Cadet Force or University groups which may only have a few experienced people in their parties on the hill.

Some may shun the HILLSAFE SYSTEM, but me, I like it and it's already tucked away in anticipation of forthcoming group trips."
